GLORIA, an easy and funny work

Easy and Funny Work explores, both ironically and profoundly, the relentless pursuit of glory—an impossible desire that turns into an eternal chase. The piece transports the audience into a universe where glory seems to be a fleeting treasure that constantly slips away, inviting us to reflect on the meaning of this endless search and the fascination it generates. Through intense movement and a carefully crafted aesthetic, the company’s new production unveils a continuous cycle of desire and frustration, where glory is as elusive as it is captivating.

The work addresses the two faces of glory: the brightness and beauty that attract, but also the unsettling shadows they conceal. The dancers act as witnesses to this journey, guiding an experience that is both captivating and provocative, leaving a mark on the audience.

La Quebrá, a multidisciplinary dance company founded in 2018 by dancer and choreographer Irene García and lighting and set designer Sergi Cerdan, stands out for its ironic style and striking visual work. By integrating humor as a tool to connect with new audiences, the company creates a provocative stage universe that challenges conventions and offers a fresh perspective on the deeper themes of life.
